As the high priest of this important god, Nakht-Ankh was responsible for performing ceremonies, rites and rituals associated with the worship of Chnum.

The life of Nakht-Ankh is also known through the documentation of his mummified remains. His mummy, one of the best preserved of the Middle Kingdom, was found in the necropolis of Qubbet el-Hawa near Aswan. This mummy has contributed to further research on health, life and death in ancient Egypt.

Among other things, it was analyzed for its genetic haplogroup, which provides information about the origin of Nakht-Ankh's genome. A haplogroup is a genetic population characterized by certain unique genetic variations or mutations. These mutations are transmitted from generation to generation and can therefore be used to trace an individual's genetic ancestry.

In summary, Nakht-Ankh is an important historical figure that sheds light on the Middle Kingdom era of Ancient Egypt. After we have received the samples it normally takes 6 weeks for the fist results. Depending on the chosen test the result is thus already fully ready or further analysis are done.
